I have just finished reading Just Between The Lines. I loved the way this was written. Gina wrote that she was trying out a new style of writing and I thought it was very successful. I felt I was able to really get under their skins and understand all their thoughts, I felt closer to Janeway especially.
This chapter and the previous one pose some interesting questions about RL relationships. I mean, for example, it is hard to know just how to balance the instinct and longing to protect your partner with their own ability as a adult to protect themselves and need their own space. How do you compromise and come to a conclusion that satisfies both sides. Some of these chapters are very deep.
With regard to fluff Robind, perhaps it is something to do with the editor and publishing of the book. I am a few chapters into J/B season 5 now and this time round I think I can see some hints that Patterson might be the baddie. He is certainly around everywhere J/7 are. I do hope Gina eventually finishes the final few chapters, although I quite understand it must be hard to write more after all this time. If the final few don’t get written I hope she will consider, after some time, just letting us know here briefly who she had intended the section 31 culprits to be.
