I love what they did with Seven's character. She is simply bad-ass.
Love that they made her a lesbian.
I'm not a fan of the Seven/Raffi pairing.
I also very much dislike what they did with Raffi's character. They made her whiny, bitchy, antagonistic and manipulative. Very different to Season 1 and that's not Raffi's fault, it's simply bad writing.
Sorry, I found ST Picard too dark, especially after what they did to poor Iceb. It was fun to see the old familiar faces though. I am however enjoying Hologram Janeway in ST Prodigy. I can’t get Prodigy here in Ireland but have scoured You Tube and there is quite a bit on there including the complete first episode. They seem to have included Chakotay further on though, which I find annoying. Why couldn’t they have let Janeway shine on her own for once!

Yes, really enjoying so far, just finished the latest episode last night. Looking forward to how they end the season and what happens in the final season, especially now that they've announced most of the original cast will also be in it.

for everyone's viewing pleasure here's the blooper reel. We get some cute Jerri giggles outta it!
Well, I watched the finale and all episodes until the finale. What they made out of Seven until that very last scene with Raffi (WTF???), well until then I was pretty stoked. Seven is a bad ass character, they made her a lesbian (GREAT) but then they paired her off (a Chakotay moment again? Come on, really?) with a person she hasn't even interacted with in 10 episodes? Please, let me not be the only person who simply can't see these two being together?

I do think it was a bit fumbled in as a last minute adjustment (apparently a decision partly driven by the actresses) and I am worried about how they'll choose to have it unfold especially since we are in the grimdark angst Star Trek era. I like Raffi's character and would hope that she's a gentle caring part of Sevens life (because Seven is absolutely not in a good place at the moment). We shall see though. I'm assuming we'll be stuck waiting for a while courtesy of Covid however.
I just finished the season yesterday, as well. Was very impressed with the series. I liked it a lot. Loved the fact that 7 is such a badass!!! I hope that they give a little more of her back story next season, whenever that happens. Would love to know what happened to her in between Endgame and Picard.

So how many people have seen the finale? Loved the last scene, and certainly not surprised Seven's intrigued by a red head. I suppose next season will take forever, assuming they can even make one in any kind of timely fashion considering current events, but I can't wait to see it.
Thoroughly enjoyed this series, much more than Discovery though I was warming up to that towards the end of last season. Can't wait for more.

I just finished watching it yesterday, I really enjoyed the show and loved the evolution of Seven's character. This is the Seven (attitude) I always pictured in my mind while reading your stories. The last scene of her at the table... hmmm... can't wait for Season .

I haven't watched it yet as I don't have a CBS All Access subscription. Was kind of waiting for the first season to be done so I can get the trial and just binge it.

That's what I'm doing. Last episode is this week, so I took the 7 day trial a couple of days ago. Still trying to figure out how long after Endgame this takes place. At least 13-14 years. So far I like it. Seven is definately a badass in this series. I'm hoping that, at some point, they will fill in more of her back story.

Just started watching, using the 7 day free trial, now that season 1 is almost over. Was never a huge Next Gen fan, and I barely remember Nemesis. Does anyone know what the timeline is? I know Picard takes place 14 years after Nemesis ( I think), but how long is this after Endgame?

I broke down and got the CBS all access subscription so I could watch Picard. I will cancel when the series is done.
I think its good. It's nice to see some familiar faces. I saw talk of a spin off for Seven, not sure if it was true.
FYI- the actor who plays Hugh, Jonathan Del Arco, has a podcast called Hollywood Caucus. It's free. His first guest was Jeri Ryan, fifth was Michelle Hurd (Raffi). Its worth a listen.

They are offering a month free right now, I took advantage of it to watch Picard. No regrets at all, going to watch the Discovery series next weekend.

Really? I'm loving Picard. It's so wonderfully layered, well written and seeing Seven take over that Borg cube gave me chills. I love the support characters and can't wait to see the finale. I will admit, it did take a little time to get going. Four eps just set it up, and then it really kicked into gear.

Maybe I have just seen the worst bits on You Tube, perhaps I will invest in the DVD’s when they are available. Any chance ST.Picard‘s Seven is inspiring your muse Gina? I must say that I find Picard’s Seven more believable as a lesbian or bisexual person. I believe they have officially stated that Seven is Bisexual. Who would have believed it after all the years of J/7 Fanfiction. It must be your influence Gina, they must have read all the Just Between series😉

Kinda got the impression she and the chick at the casino planet had a thing beyond just friends but since Seven ended up blowing her into a red mist, it's probably just as well we not know for sure. I will say, this bad ass Seven is the one I envisioned in that JB prison ep.

Raffi and Seven held hands in that last episode... Though I don't think they interacted all that much in the season.

I'm just not getting interested in Picard. I've only watched 4 episodes and I'm already bored. The Doctor he has on his ship is like Tilly in ST Discovery. The vulcan in Picard looks like Spock in ST Discovery too. Picard himself is kind of pathetic, playing a feeble, disgraced Starfleet officer, a severely diminished presence that the old Captain Picard had in abundance. I'm disappointed somehow. You gotta give him some street cred for still acting at 115 years old, though.

I was full of hope about the ST.Picard series, Patrick Stewart talked about how Star Trek was very dark and dystopian these days (like a lot of new Sci fi). He talked about returning to the old hopeful Star Trek with a bright future and what have we got - Icheb being dissected and killed by Seven and hatred and prejudice all around.
I can’t get Picard because it is on Amazon, but have been watching You Tube excerpts. I was waiting for the DVD’s to come out but at this rate I won’t bother.
The only good thing about it is that it is inspiring J/7 fanfiction writers to write new stories about Admiral Janeway and 7.

@RobinD yes, episode 5 I think. It is pretty gruesome so don’t say I didn’t warn you. It is very like what happened to Seven in Then there is episode 8 where she does something totally unexpected but I have only seen the You Tube excerpts of it. The bit I saw the graphics around Seven were awesome.
