As I’m on a “Dartt rush” these days, I’ve read everything I could put my hands on on Novel Expectations. But it is insufficient: my Dartt addiction is not withdrawing. So I have to find my Unexpected Sparks hardcover (lovingly bought a long time ago). But where is it? Damn! I remember: I lent it (along with other favorites) to this <insults> ex friend who stole them never turned them back.
Luckily, Gina’s work is available in Ebook!
So I wolfed it down this week end, and let me tell you: <Happy dance> I loved it all over again.
More so than the first time, I think. (The only drawback is the typos in the Ebook format: The words in italics are “joined” to the following words.)
So now, on to Unexpected Ties!
Hi Robyn, yeah I did email her and she did reply, which encouraged her to update her intro on her home page. Fortunately, Covid wasn't very bad in Nova Scotia and she wasn't touched. Her birthday is coming up on August 8th and it would be great if as many of us as possible could hit that donate button on the top right of this page and send her a few bucks. Nothing says Happy Birthday like some coin jingling in her purse.
RobinD, this RobynH here (aka rmhawkins@kinect.co.nz) yes. Please find out how she is and perhaps is she I still struggling financiall. I did send here some money last month and am about to do the same again but thought perhaps I sfhould wait for your reply first. Thanks
Hi rmhawkins, yeah, I'm wondering how she is too. I think I'll email her and do a welfare check. I'll come back with the results.
Yes, I totally agree, having just read Millenium, I would love her to finish the last few stories. How is Gina- has anyone heard from her recentl? I do hope that everything is ok in her world....
It's an absolute gift of hers that you can read Ginas stories on and on again. I don't know how often I did read JB&M and the Unexpected Series. Now I will buy me Cross Purposes. I hope she gets her muse back and has time to finish Millenium.
She is such an accomplished writer! Although I've bought, and read, all three of her published books it's like she can't let herself go "full Gina" in the publishing world. Or maybe it's me that expects the kind of relationships in her books that she demonstrates in JB&M. (It's probably me...)
